Jacob's Birthday...

It has taken me a long time to get this post up!! Right after Jake's birthday celebrations we had about a week of record breaking heat, and with no AC we decided to move out for the week and move in with Grandma and Boppo! And while that week seemed a bit like a vacation... life has been a bit hectic since then! So here is Jacob's Birthday in review...

As soon as Jacob woke up, we went into his room and sang "Happy Birthday" to him! Then we immediately headed downstairs and opened a couple of presents. After a quick breakfast, it was off to the zoo...

This was (surprisingly!) Jake's first visit to the zoo... and he loved it! apparently we need to take a trip back to the aquarium soon as the otters and penguins were highlights for Jake! he looks so old...Jacob loved that these monkeys were all wrapped up in burlap "blankies..." They peeked out at him and then wrapped themselves back up! Jake loves his blankies right now too - so he could relate to these guys! :)we stopped for a picnic lunch...I love how this expression of just taking it all in...and this was pretty much where Hudson hung out all day.... what a trooper!then it was back home for a nap... and more presents!

After getting some good play time in with all of his new toys we took Jake to one of his favorite places for dinner... Ruby's! Jake loves to watch the train up above us make its way around the track... the restaurant is filled with great things to look at... balloons... and food he loves to eat!

He is not, however, a fan of being serenaded by strangers that come walking up to him, clapping their hands, singing a strange chant (that was not happy birthday, by the way!), and putting a hat on his head.... can you see the poor guy's little face? I felt so bad for him!!

He recovered fairly quickly with an ice cream sundae though!
