100k Meal Marathon

This past weekend we got to help our church, The Downtown Church, and Children of the Nations package 100,000 meals for kids in Sierra Leone, Malawi, Uganda and The Dominican Republic. It was awesome! This was the scene when we arrived... lots of set up going on. Once we got started, our family helped at the kids table. I held the bags under a giant funnel while kiddos took turns scooping from their bins of Lentils, Rice, Chicken and Spice. Once they were packed into our bag, they were weighed and sealed. Once in country, families will just need to add water for a nutritious meal (I also heard that they add more spices specific to their regions). Hudson hung out in the backpack while Ryan scooped, and Jake loved scooping the lentils... and that's what we did until both kids began to crash (already overdue for their naps). This was the scene as we left the park... and they kept at it, until they reached our goal of 100k meals!
